History

The Pozzobon winery has its roots around 1700, when it was born as a peasant settlement under the direct control of the nobleman Caotorta, in the Paolini countryside in Volpago del Montello, in the Belvedere area. Since its origins, the company has cultivated vineyards for the production of wine for the local nobility. In 1969, Countess Matilde Ponti, heir to the noble Antifone Caotorta, sold much of the Paolini countryside to the current Commendator Pozzobon, who has since produced and marketed his own wines directly.

Attentive to consumer health and environmental protection, the family has chosen to adopt the National Quality System for Integrated Production (SQNPI), a highly significant voluntary certification.

Three collections, three distinct souls

Our production is divided into three collections. Each has a clear identity and a distinctive style.
Three different expressions of the land, tradition and quality crafted for different tastes and occasions.

The territory

Il Montello,  high quality wines

On the clay hills of Montello the climate is dry during the summer and harsh in the winter. The steep slopes, together with the favourable exposure of the vineyards, located on hilly and foothill terrain, make this environment particularly selective for cultivation.

Under these climatic and environmental conditions, vines are one of the few crops capable of adapting and thriving, giving rise to naturally limited but high-quality production.
